Embroidery

The embroidery process is a two part process. The first process "Digitizing". This is when your logo is turned into stitches by physically tracing your logo and creating the various types of stitches on a computer programme to recreate your design. The digitizer will decide the best way for the design to be sewn onto the fabric, and will make necessary decisions according to the fabric type and size of the design. Once the design has been digitized, a disk is made which controls the embroidery machines.

The second process. This is the sewing of the garment, created by the digitizer. This is sampled on a loose piece of fabric or “swatch” to ensure that the quality is good and that there are no errors in the digitizing or art work. Once the sample has been approved by yourself, production can commence.

Embroidery work is especially cost effective for small runs and where the design or logo has multiple colours. Garments we embroider are:

  • Caps
  • Knitted hats
  • Scarfs
  • T-shirts
  • Polo shirts
  • Sweats
  • Hoodies
  • Jackets
  • Trousers
  • Bib & brace
  • Boilersuits

Transfers

We produce transfers in house via heat applied vinyl applications. Normally one to two colour applications. For more complex designs, we are currently outsourcing the design, but apply them in house. This material is cut to your design, we place this to the garment and with the use of heat transfer machines, we then weld this to the garment at specific heat and time combinations depending to the application.

Direct print and multi-colour . This process, the garment is clamped to a plate, this plate goes under a charged colour jet and the garment is “painted” to your design. Multi-colour designs. These are placed on a carrier, this is held on heat responsive paint and glue, as with the vinyl application, again we use heat transfer machines, we then weld this to the garment at specific heat and time combinations depending to the application.

Transfers work effective with Hi visibility garments, sportswear and food industry clothing. Garments we heat apply transfers to, are:

  • Bags
  • Caps
  • T-shirts
  • Polo shirts
  • Sweats
  • Hoodies
  • Jackets
  • Trousers
  • High Visibility clothing
